Milwaukee County correctional officer arrested for DUI, terminated from position

MILWAUKEE – A correctional officer with the Milwaukee County Jail was terminated from his position after being arrested for DUI-1st offense this past weekend.
 
The officer was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning after he went off the road and hit a pole in West Bend. 
The officer said he had shots at a bar with friends before the crash. His PBT result was .21.  The officer was hired in May, and was terminated this weekend prior to the completion of their probationary period.
 
West Bend Police Department is handling the investigation of the incident.
