April 14 has been affectionately dubbed Milwaukee Day. Local businesses are celebrating the unofficial municipal holiday with unique offerings.

All four local Outpost Natural Food stores served brats on a pretzel bun for $4.14.

Milwaukee Brewing Company unveiled its Gin Barrel-aged OGII, an imperial wit infused with green tea, ginger and chamomile.
"We age them in Great Lakes Distillery's gin barrel and really takes this from an amazing level to ridiculous," said Milwaukee Brewing Company owner Jim McCabe.

Purple Door Ice Cream gave away free mini-scoops of their 414-day flavor: beer and pretzels. "Which is made with Lakefront Brewery's East Side Dark stout beer. And there's chocolate covered pretzels inside of it," added Purple Door owner Lauren Schultz.

The ice cream shop also unveiled 12 new flavors, each of which use local products such as the Anodyne Coffee espresso bourbon chocolate chip.

The founders of Milwaukee Day are throwing a big party at Turner Hall. There will be bands, music and drinks from 6-11 pm.
