MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a deadly car accident near 51st & Center Friday.
Police say shortly after 9:30 a.m. Friday, U.S. Marshals were pursuing a vehicle that was driven by a suspect that was wanted on a homicide warrant from Minot, North Dakota.
The suspect vehicle went through a red light at N. 51st Street and W. Center Street and hit another vehicle. A 20-year-old female died from her injuries.
A 23-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
The suspect, a 27-year-old man was arrested. Criminal charges will be referred to Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office in the upcoming days.
