MCTS employees are helping Mercedes Alves from Portage, Wisconsin get into the Guinness Book of World Records for collecting the most "pop tabs."

MCTS Payroll Clerk Terri Guzman has donated the company's tabs to the Ronald McDonald House Charities for the last four years. This year, the tabs will be handed to 5-year-old Mercedes before being donated to the charity.

Bus drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, and employees contributed to the 22 pounds of tabs that will count toward Mercedes' goal of six million tabs.

“It was so great to meet with Mercedes and see the smile on her face when we showed her the MCTS donation," Guzman said of the company's 40,000 tab contribution.

Mercedes and her family stayed at the Ronald McDonald House when her 14-year-old brother passed away. She will be donating the tabs in his memory.
