Goodbye paper, hello plastic!
Starting Monday, MCTS riders can no longer buy paper tickets. From now on, riders need to pay using their M•CARD or cash.
Using the electronic smart card is cheaper. The cash fare is still $2.25, however, its 50 cents less if you use the electronic card.
If you already purchased tickets before today, they will still be accepted through the end of the year.
The M•CARD's are not sold on buses, but are available at 100 locations throughout Milwaukee County.
