Police: Missing Mayville woman found safe in Madison

UPDATE: Mayville Police say the woman reported missing overnight was located in Madison and is safe. 

No other information was released.

DODGE COUNTY -- Authorities are looking for a 55-year-old Mayville woman who went missing overnight from a nursing home. 

According to the Mayville Police Department, Debra Lyon was last seen at approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday from the Crossroads Care Center on South Clark St in Mayville. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur collar and light colored pajama pants

As a precaution, police say they organized a search effort involving several neighboring departments.

They searched areas around Crossroads Care Center were searched as well as most of the City of Mayville. K9 Units, a Flight for Life helicopter, and an airplane equipped with thermal imaging capabilities were used to search for Lyon from the ground and from the air.

Police are also looking into the possibility that Lyon may have left the facility voluntarily with the assistance of another person.

Lyon has now been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a Missing Person.
