In honor of Gene Wilder’s life, Mayfair Mall's AMC theater is bringing back a pair of his most adored films this weekend.

“Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and “Blazing Saddles” will be showing both Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4.

Wilder, a Milwaukee native, was noticed for his exuberant talent as early as high school, when he received the Outstanding Achievement Award for Drama at Washington High School.

There's no doubt that Wilder made some iconic films during his time. Though he hadn't made a movie in 25 years at the time of his death, soon you can once again be graced by his presence on the big screen.

As Willy Wonka once said, “The suspense is terrible. I hope it’ll last.”

Showings for both movies are at the same time both nights - Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory will be at 5 p.m., and Blazing Saddles is at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for each.
