CINCINNATI -- The 23-year-old Ohio man pretending to be missing boy Timmothy Pitzen has been charged with making false statements to federal agents.
Brian Michael Rini was arrested Thursday night and is currently in federal custody, the Department of Justice says. He made his first appearance in court at 11 a.m. local time.
According to a news release from the DOJ, Rini allegedly told officers his name was Timmothy Pitzen and that he "just wanted to go home."
Pitzen was last seen in 2011 in the Wisconsin Dells. His family is located in Aurora, Illinois.
