One person was struck while helping a disabled vehicle on I-41 Saturday, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office and West Allis Fire Department received multiple 911 calls about 10 a.m. Saturday for a crash southbound on I-894/I-41 at Greenfield Avenue. Once on the scene, officials discovered a Toyota with three passengers inside disabled in the right distress lane.
A pick-up truck was also on the scene after stopping to assist the Toyota. There were two passengers inside that vehicle. While one of the passengers was standing outside of the vehicle, a Chevy Malibu coming from the east to south ramp lost control and struck him. He was then transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the Chevy Malibu agreed to a voluntary blood draw, and officials are still investigating the circumstances of the incident.
