MILWAUKEE -- A man was allegedly shot killed by his brother in a Milwaukee restaurant Saturday evening.

Authorities said Rodney Jones, 42, was shot around 7:30 p.m. inside the Bungalow Restaurant near 14th and Keefe.

Police said it started when the two men got into a confrontation, which turned physical.

Officers were called, but before they arrived, witnesses said the younger brother, who is the restaurant manager, shot his brother.

"He was just being protective, he didn't want nothing to happen to his momma and his daddy because they was like right there in the middle of it," said employee Melvin Johnson.

Police said the younger brother, 36, is cooperating with the investigation.

Investigators said Monday that they're still looking at the incident and will decide whether the shooting was self-defense or if charges should be brought against the shooter.
