Milwaukee police said a 26-year-old man was shot and killed near the ice cream shop Tastee Twist Friday afternoon.
Police are investigating the homicide they said happened around 12:20 p.m.
Officers are searching for a suspect.
A pastor who works with the police department said a car drove by, there might have been some words exchanged and then shots were fired. He said even though there were a lot of people out, no one spoke up about what happened.
"There's people out here that they know what's going on and a lot of people within our community its retaliation. I want to get even, but they want to take matters into their own hands so that means more people are dying and more violence," said Pastor Malcom Hunt.
Hunt said it's the third son the man's family has lost to gun violence.
