A 44-year-old man is seriously injured after being shot late Friday night near 15th and Mitchell Street.
Police say the suspect was attempting to shoot at his girlfriend following an altercation between the two in the 1500 block of W. Mitchell Street around 11 p.m.
The woman fled from the suspect who ended up striking a 44-year-old man driving in the area.
The man suffered a serious gunshot wound and is at a local hospital.
The girlfriend was not injured.
Police are still searching for the suspect and say the incident continues to be under investigation.
