MILWAUKEE — The West Allis Police Department is investigating a police pursuit that left a man seriously injured after crashing into a tree.
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of 60th and Washington about 12:30 a.m. Friday that refused to pull over. A chase started leading officers into the City of Milwaukee. The pursuit ended after the suspect crashed into a tree near the 2500 block of N. 55th Street.
The Milwaukee Fire Department needed to extricate the 45-year-old man from the vehicle, transporting him to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities say that no officers were injured during the pursuit. Charges are expected to be filed in the coming days.
