It was a scary situation for a man working out at a gym a few weeks ago. George Liberatore suddenly had a heart attack, and thankfully someone close by knew CPR.

Since then, they haven't seen each other, and Liberatore said he just had to meet the woman who saved his life.

"Meeting her is like meeting your guardian angel, we are very, very grateful, couldn't be more blessed," Liberatore said.

The incident happened at a Germantown Anytime Fitness. While Liberatore was not moving or breathing, Brittany Sabin was a few machines away and jumped right into action.

"I wasn't really thinking, I was just doing, it was natural," Sabin said.

Replaying the incident over in her head, the professional nurse said she knew just what to do.

"It wasn't nerve-wracking, it wasn't," she said.

And because of Sabin’s expertise, Liberatore now has a second chance at life.

"Forever thankful, she's in my prayers every morning, every night. She'll always be," Liberatore said.

With a new lease on life, Liberatore said he's feeling just fine. Doctors gave him a pacemaker the day of his heart attack.
