If you're close to retirement, you may want to listen to these words of wisdom from a man discussing where to live once old age hits.

According to his Facebook post, Terry Robison has said he will check into a Holiday Inn instead of an assisted living facility because it's cheaper.

"With the average cost for a nursing home care costing $188.00 per day, there is a better way when we get old and too feeble. I've already checked on reservations at the Holiday Inn. For a combined long term stay discount and senior discount, it's $59.23 per night," Robison wrote in his post.

Robison also added that lunch, dinner, room service, laundry, happy hours and special TV movies bring the total to $128.77 per day.

Holiday Inns also have a spa, pool, workout room, free toothpaste, shampoo, razors and more. "$5-worth of tips a day and you'll have the entire staff scrambling to help you." Robison said.

As for family visits, Robison said that's covered, too.

"No worries about visits from family. They will always be glad to find you, and probably check in for a few days mini-vacation. The grand-kids can use the pool. What more could I ask for?"
