MILWAUKEE - A 70-year-old man who left his home country to find peace in America was beaten within an inch of his life while walking his dog Tuesday.

The injuries to the back of the man's head are too graphic to even show on TV.

Carmelino Pable is now back home with staples and bruises all over his body. His hand is swollen and arms are bruised as he tried to protect blows to his face.

It was gut wrenching for his daughter Erma Miller to see the injuries. Her father, who does not speak English, came from the Philippines for a safer life.

"The guy hit his head and he fell down and kept hitting him," Miller said.

Amazingly, doctors found no broken bones. Still, it will take time for him to heal.

If you know anything, the family asks for you to please call Milwaukee police right away, so this crime will not happen to anyone else.
