Several local and federal agencies are investigating a man who made threats at the federal courthouse in downtown Milwaukee Thursday.

Authorities say a 32-year-old man was arrested after he ran into the courthouse at 517 E Wisconsin Ave. and began making threats.

The Milwaukee Police Department, the U.S. Marshalls Service and the FBI are all investigating.

As a precaution, the area was closed down temporarily.

Brandon Madison, a parking attending at a lot directly across the street from the courthouse was frightened by the ordeal.

"A pretty scary time, a pretty scary moment not knowing what was going on," he said.

"The times we live in I really take that stuff seriously so I stood back for my safety," he also said.
