Milwaukee sausage-maker Glorious Malone’s Fine Sausage has recalled more than 26,000 pounds of pork head cheese that may have been contaminated with Listeria.
In a news release, the company said it voluntarily issued the recall for the following products:
- Various weights of vacuumed – sealed packages containing “Glorious Malone’s Fine Sausage, Inc. GOURMET PORK DELICACY HOT SEASONED HEAD CHEESE with a “Sell By” dates from 10/26/2018 through 12/5/1018 and lot code 3524 through 3540.
- Various weights of vacuum-sealed packages containing “Glorious Malone’s Fine Sausage, INC. GOURMET PORK DELICACY MILD SEASONED HEAD CHEESE “with a “Sell By” dates from 10/26/2018 through 12/5/2018 and lot codes 3524 through 3540.
“We have voluntarily recalled this product because we always want our products to be safe," said the company’s president Daphne Jones in the news release. "Quality and integrity has been the core of our value system for over 60 years,”
The possibly infected products were produced between Aug. 27 and Oct. 5.
