Major Wisconsin universities cancel classes ahead of wind chill warning

The University of Wisconsin-Madison announced that classes would be canceled Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

During this period, only essential campus services will operate.

Marquette University will be closed from 5 p.m. Tuesday through noon Thursday due to severe weather conditions in the greater Milwaukee area.

All Marquette classes are canceled during that time period. Normal classes and university operations will resume at noon Thursday.

Limited campus services will remain open with essential personnel, although hours may be reduced, including:

  • Alumni Memorial Union
  • Facilities Planning and Management
  • Information Technology Services
  • Marquette University Police Department
  • Rec Plex/Rec Center
  • University Dining Services
