Mader's Restaurant is back open after a health inspection close order was issued Thursday.
The health department temporarily closed the German restaurant due to a rodent infestation.

Mader's released this statement Friday:
“After a thorough cleaning and sanitizing at Mader’s, the City of Milwaukee Health Department is inspecting the restaurant at this time to give it the authorization to reopen. This is the first time that our restaurant has ever had an issue like this, and we continue to be committed to providing our guests with a clean, safe and enjoyable eating environment. We again apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused to our guests, and we look forward to serving them today and in the future.”
The health inspector will check back in with the restaurant next week to assure it is still meeting standards.
