A man from Hartford is dead after the UPS truck he was driving crashed Tuesday morning near Chicago.
He's been identified as 61-year-old Glen Dantuma. Dantuma's truck slammed into a median wall under slick road conditions, police say.
Emergency responders took him to LaGrange Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
There's no word yet on if weather was a factor in the crash.
"UPS is saddened by the loss of our Freight driver who was involved in an incident last night," the shipping company said in a statement. "Our condolences go to his family and loved ones. We are cooperating with local authorities as they investigate the incident."
