With the Midwestern Unconventional Sports Association, you can play for kicks - kickball, that is.

“We have every range of skill known to man playing in this league,” explained Daniel Glass MUSA Owner and Director of Operations.  “Everyone can kick a ball.  For the most part it’s pretty easy, so it’s just like baseball, but you're just kicking a big, red rubber ball and running around the bases that way instead.”

Just like you did in grade school, only these kids are all grown up.  Take Nick Kleczkowski: By day, he's an electrician.  By night, he's the first baseman on “Club G's.”  So what's it like when the 38 year old tells people he plays kickball?

“After they laugh at us, they ask if you're serious,” he began to describe with a smile.  “If it's a serious thing and how long have you been doing it?”

The answer for Kleczkowski: 10 years. Why?

“Because my wife lets me,” he said with a laugh.  “And just to get out of the house and it's a great way to see your buddies.”

Steven Acker wasn't expecting this when his roommate asked him to play two years ago.  But today, he's happy did.

“It's exciting,” Acker said.  “There's a lot of anticipation.  There's not a whole lot of running so that's great.  You only have to do short sprints and you don't have to do them all the time, so you don't have to be super athletic either.”

But you will be sore.

“It’s surprising you get sore after playing kickball,” Kleczkowski remarked.  “When you first start playing, you never think that would happen, but you still feel it in the morning, but it’s great.”

And by next week, there's nothing like another round of kickball.
