The holiday spirit of giving is alive and well in Milwaukee.
A woman recently posted on “Milwaukee Southsiderz” Facebook page and said she lost her job and can’t afford to get her child Christmas gifts.
Candice Kosinski posted:
“Anyone know of somewhere that helps with Christmas gifts for kids? I lost my job recently and have no $ for gifts for my 5 year old son. I have a masters degree and am struggling to find a good full time job. He likes minions, paw patrol, hot wheels, pj mask and Batman.”
Dozens and dozens of people commented, many offering to ship a gift to her or drop one off. One person even asked her, “Do you have Apple Pay?”
Others offered potential job leads for the mom and told her about different programs offering services to families in need during the holidays.
