MILWAUKEE — Local leaders, activists, and community members are marching from Kenosha to Milwaukee on Monday to demand justice for police violence.

People taking part in the protest include the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sen. Lena Taylor, State Rep. David Bowen, Justin Blake (Jacob Blake's uncle), and Maria Hamilton, mother of Dontre Hamilton.

The march will kick off in Kenosha with a rally led by Revered Jackson and will end 33 miles later in Milwaukee.

According to a press release, the march is an effort to unite Southeastern Wisconsin, amplify demands for justice against police violence, and mark the first day of early voting in Wisconsin.

The rally in Kenosha began at 12:30 a.m. at 1150 Green Bay Rd. in Kenosha, and ends at 6 p.m. at Red Arrow Park.
