Wisconsin Democrats have introduced a proposal to ban bump stocks, and local gun shops are getting calls.
TODAY’S TMJ4 reached out to 10 area shops Thursday, and none actually carry the bump stocks, the device used in the Vegas mass shooting. But some said callers inquired about the device after calls for a ban.
The NRA is open to stricter rules on bump stocks, and Speaker Paul Ryan echoed that sentiment.
"Look at didn't even know what they were until this week. And I'm an avid sportsman,” Ryan said. “So, I think we're quickly coming up to speed on what this is. "
Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson said he’s open to the idea of a bump stock ban as well.
