A local student will represent Wisconsin in a national geography competition.
Thomas Wright is a Mequon seventh grader who won his school’s geography bee, then a state competition. Now, he’s off to Washington, D.C. to represent Wisconsin in the National Geographic Bee.
Wright leaves for D.C. on Sunday and the competition begins on Monday. The final winner will be decided Wednesday.
