The Superstar Racing Experience, or SRX, is bringing big names under the lights and national TV exposure to local smaller tracks. And the Slinger Speedway will have that opportunity on Saturday night, July 10.

"Like hitting a home run," Slinger Speedway Owner/Promoter Todd Thelen says. "We have Formula 1 racers. IndyCar racers. Trans-Am racers. NASCAR racers, They're champions. All in one. Actually, it's like hitting a grand slam, I guess."

Will Matt Kenseth or any other local racers be involved with this?

"There will be two other racers that will, it sounds like will be in two rotating cars," Thelen says. "Meaning, it sounds like ten race cars will have the same drivers in for each of the six events. And two will have potential local racers, or somebody like Matt Kenseth you know, rotating in and out. And I think there's a pretty good chance that Matt will be doing the Slinger event. Don't know that for sure. We're looking forward to putting someone like Matt into one of those last 2 cars."

Fans already flooding the race track's website and calling for tickets, as they plan to have 25 percent capacity for the event.
