A lightning strike started a house fire in Brookfield Thursday.
The Brookfield Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire on Patti Lane around 7 a.m. Officials believe that a lightning strike started the fire, according to the fire department.
No injuries were reported to residents or fire personnel.
In another incident, lightning struck another house in Mequon.
