BROOKFIELD -- Life Time Inc. will begin construction in Brookfield next month for a new athletic center, which will be Wisconsin's first, according to our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal.
This comes after the company bought a site in Irgen's The Corridor on Bluemound Road. Life Time Inc. reportedly paid $7.6 million for the site.
The fitness center will be two-stories and will include a full-service salon and spa, basketball courts, a restaurant, yoga, pilates and cycling studios and weightlifting equipment. Also included in the plans is a 50,000-square-foot outdoor area that will have pools, a waterslide and bistro.
The athletic center is likely to open in mid-2019 and will be located along the southwest corner of The Corridor property, within sight of Interstate 94.
