MILWAUKEE -- The meeting between Mexico's president and billionaire Donald Trump comes one day after Mexico's politicians came to Milwaukee to open a new consulate.

Those Mexican leaders shared that Mexican-American business owners contribute $600 million in revenue for Wisconsin each year.

Ernesto Villarreal, owner of El Rey grocery stores, came to America in the 1960's. He shared his frustrations with recent stereotypes.

"Some people say we don't pay taxes. I pay taxes. I pay 60 percent of whatever I make. 60 percent goes into taxes," said Ernesto Villarreal, owner of El Rey grocery store.

Leaders with the Mexican Consulate share Latinos who live in Wisconsin contribute $1 billion in federal, state and local taxes each year.
