FOND DU LAC — Do you recall Kai, the ball python snake that escaped from his classroom cage during Labor Day Weekend at Fond du Lac High School?
School officials called the fire department, which searched the school with a thermal imaging camera and even consulted experts to try to find the reptile.
Kia was found safe last Friday, but the strange incident caught the attention of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

Not only was the previously missing snake the butt of a few jokes but it also spawned a parody of a high school TV drama called "Escaped Snake High."
As seen in the Colbert clip, CNN and the New York Post wrote about the missing snake.
