MILWAUKEE — Lakefront Brewery is teaming up with Level-Up Beard Company to host a beard contest.
On Saturday, January 25th, Lakefront Brewery will embrace and celebrate facial hair of all kinds. Starting at noon, anyone interested in taking part in the contest can head to Lakefront Brewery and sign up at Level-Up's pop up shop.
Level-Up Beard Company, which is based out of Minnesota, specializes in beard oils, balms, washes, a beard butters. They've held several beard contests across the Midwest and are finally bringing it to Milwaukee.
The sign up will be a first come, first served basis with only 15 spots in each of the five categories. These categories are:
- Best full beard below 5 inches
- Best full beard above 5 inches
- Best partial beard
- Best mustache
- Best female creation
Yes, you read that last one right. According to a press release, Lakefront Brewery wanted to make sure both men and women could get involved so they created the fifth category.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday with four judges (3 men, 1 woman).
The prizes which will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category are as follows:
- 1st Place – 3 Level-Up Beard Products, $100 Lakefront Brewery Gift Card, and a 6-Pack of Lakefront Brewery Beer
- 2nd Place – 2 Level-Up Beard Products, and a 6-Pack of Lakefront Brewery Beer
- 3rd Place – 1 Level-Up Beard Product and a Growler of Lakefront Brewery Beer
