Camping outside Best Buy or fighting over items in the electronics section? How about skipping the Black Friday shopping headache and cracking open a cold one instead.
Lakefront Brewery is inviting people to its Annual “BLACK FRIDAY™” Beer Release Event on Nov. 23.
Two special beers, Black Friday™ beer and the Black Friday™ XXX Vintage Reserve, will be the main attraction at the event.
The Black Friday™ beer is 13.32 percent alcohol by volume. It's been aged for 10 months in a bourbon barrel and contains notes of vanilla, chocolate, cherry and booze.
The Black Friday XXX Vintage Reserve is 13.82 percent alcohol by volume. It was created with the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Black Friday™.
Customers can purchase up to three 22-ounce bottles of the 2018 Black Friday™ for $20 each, and one bottle of the Black Friday™ XXX Vintage Reserve for $30. A combo four-pack will be on sale for $90 while supplies last.
Both beers will only be available to purchase at the beer release event at Lakefront Brewery. In the past eight years, the entire inventory of 6,000 bottles of beer has sold out around noon.
Lakefront Brewery will open its doors at 8 a.m., but they expect that as many as thousands of people will begin lining up outside as early as the night before.
“It’s a very special day, to have people come on down and share our beer, our food and avoid the hassle of Christmas shopping. Or at least put it off for a few more hours,” commented Russ Klisch, President and Owner of Lakefront Brewery.
Lakefront Brewery's favorite food truck, the Curd Wagon, will also be at the event kicking out breakfast for everyone in line.
