Originally Brinkman planned to propose on a trip in January. But on New Year's Eve tragedy struck when he lost his close friend and colleague Lake Mills Fire Captain, Chris Truman.
Truman was helping someone while on duty. Andy and Kassy decided to postpone their trip to honor him.
