MENOMONEE FALLS — Kohl's plans to close all four of its Off/Aisle discount concept stores.
A Kohl's spokeswoman told our news partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal that all four stores will close August 3rd.
Off/Aisle stores were designed to sell merchandise at much lower prices. The company, based in Menomonee Falls, said the goal was to test out ways to sell customers off-price products.
Three of the Off/Aisle locations are in Wauwatosa, Waukesha, and Brown Deer. The fourth is in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
"We appreciate all we've learned during the Off/Aisle test about inventory management, operational efficiency, store experience and nimble, empowered store leadership," Johnson said in a statement. "We also learned that our strength and ongoing improvements in inventory management across the company does not allow us to appropriately stock Off/Aisle stores at scale."
Johnson said employees at the Off/Aisle stores will have the opportunity to work at nearby Kohl's locations.
