KOHLER -- As the summer comes to an end, executives at Kohler Company are beaming at the prospect of visitors to its resorts in all seasons.
That's just one reason why Kohler held a job fair on Tuesday for 110 positions in hospitality, including jobs at its hotels, spas, restaurants and golf courses.
"We want those who like team work, have collaboration and problem solving skills," manager Cassie Zinkel told TODAY'S TMJ4. "We just have so many opportunities."
Also highlighted at the fair Tuesday were 40 job openings in manufacturing and skilled trades. Zinkel explained that these positions offer the most competitive wages - and there isn't as much competition because of a shrinking applicant pool.
"I think a lot of people have chosen a four year college path - and haven't looked into skilled trade opportunity," which Zinkel said includes mechanics, electric work, utility repairs and welding, among others. "We have a lot of people retiring, which means there's going to be an even greater push to replenish this workforce."
