On Sunday March 25, local children participated in a pre-Passover experience at a Model Matzah Factory in Bayside.

Children were able to partake in the process of making Matzah from start to finish. Matzah is a bread consumed during Passover.  With an 18-minute time limit, they ground flour, kneaded dough, and baked the Matzahs on a stone oven.

The Passover is an eight-day Jewish festival celebrated from Friday, March 30 until Friday, April 6. To learn more about the Passover, click HERE.

The event was free of charge and put on by the Friendship Circle, a division of Lubavitch of Wisconsin, an organization that helps people with special needs find support, friendship, and inclusion. Chabad Rabbi Levi Stein, director of the organization, helped facilitate the program.
