WAUKESHA — The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office made it an extra special day for some children.

Saturday marked the 10th annual "Shop With A Sheriff" event.

At least 21 kids signed up and each was paired with a deputy or corrections officer.

The groups shopped for holiday gifts for themselves and family members.

"The Sheriff's Office is made up of a lot of great people. They're in the business because they want to serve. So when we made this opportunity to our staff, I was very pleased to see the resounding support we had," Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson said.

Not one of the deputies or correctional officers were on duty, they all volunteered their time to help the kids shop.
