KENOSHA — The Kenosha Police Department is investigating two near-drownings that happened Thursday near Harbor Drive.

Police say they responded to the incidents in the 4500 block of Harbor Drive around 12:19 p.m. When officers arrived, they learned that a man had fallen into the water and was struggling to stay above the water.

Another man got in the water in an attempt to rescue the man who fell, but he too was struggling while in the water.

Kenosha Sheriff's deputies were also in the area, so they worked with the Kenosha police officers to pull both men out of the water, which was 47 degrees at the time.

One of the deputies began CPR on the first man into the water and was then relieved by Kenosha Fire and Rescue. Luckily, he was revived.

The other man suffered from exhaustion and mild hypothermia.

Both men were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be recover.
