KENOSHA — Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, and Police Chief Daniel Miskinis announced Sunday morning that they are planning precautionary efforts to ensure the safety of the public ahead of the charging decision regarding the police shooting of Jacob Blake back in August.
Mayor Antaramian and Chief Miskinis have been informed that the decision is likely to be announced within the first two weeks of Jan and are working to protect peaceful demonstrations
and prevent unlawful activity.
To ensure public safety, Kenosha officials are prepping for numerous possibility and safety effort include:
- Designation of a demonstration space
- Limitations on City bus routes
- Road closures
- Curfew
- Protective fencing
