Police believe Kenosha homes were targeted in trio of shootings

Three early morning shootings in Kenosha have families upset.

At least two of the shootings happened on the 2500 block of 48th Street, the other on 18th Avenue.

Kenosha Police believe the person responsible targeted specific homes.

Linda Harris tells TODAY'S TMJ4 she's grateful to be alive.

"There is seven bullet holes in my wall," Harris said.

Harris was home along with two other family members when someone shot up her home early Friday morning in what police say was a drive-by shooting.

"I don't understand it," she said.

No one was injured. Harris feels blessed, because around the time the shooting happened, she says she's normally standing in her front window. This Friday, she decided to sleep in.

"If I had been at that window, that one that went through the whole shaft of the wood where the frame is in, it would've caught my head, the other two would've caught my heart," Harris said.

Harris' grandson, Rolando Carr, doesn't know why someone would do this.

"It's ridiculous, this my grandma's house, that's the first person I want to be safe you know," Carr said.

One of the shootings was near Frank School, and they had to add extra security measures as a precaution. Neighbors who heard the shots say things are just getting out of hand.

"People are so careless, the guns need to be put away, it's just crazy," said Gia Martin.

Police say someone is in custody but as of right now no one has been charged. We're still working to see if these shootings are connected.
