Racine police arrested a 57-year-old Kansasville man Friday night on his fifth OWI offense.
According to a statement, the impaired driver rear-ended another vehicle while driving on Durand Avenue. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Ascension and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers say the impaired man smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking at least five beers at a tavern within a four hour span before hitting the road.
The man was arrested for an OWI fifth offense as well as OWI causing injury.
