JANESVILLE, Wis. — A 46-year-old Janesville woman was arrested Thursday for second-degree reckless injury/domestic violence after reportedly stabbing a man in the face with a steak knife, the Janesville Police Department said.
The woman and the victim told police the incident was an accident, but she was taken to the Rock County Jail pending her initial court appearance.
Police responded at 2:36 a.m. in the 1500 block of Mole Avenue and found the victim leaning over the kitchen sink with a knife stuck in his face. The handle was the only part of the steak knife that was visible, next to the subject’s nose, police said in a news release.
The victim, who suffered a non-life-threatening injury, was taken to a local hospital, where the knife was removed.
