The Janesville police K-9 fund received a check for $11,000 from the Blackhawk Community Credit Union and Fredricks Association Monday.
This contribution was a result of all those who attended the Paws for a Cause fundraiser on August 13, corporate sponsorships, and volunteers who gave their time and effort.
It has been over a month since Janesville police K9 Hardy passed away unexpectedly.
The money will be placed in the K9 fund, and will be used toward purchasing a new Janesville K9 officer and two new vehicles.
