Houston Texan football star and Pewaukee native J. J. Watt was pushed to his limit on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Thursday...well, his spicy food limit.
Watt and Fallon sat down during the show with Hot Ones host Sean Evans. Evans grilled the two with questions as they ate increasingly spicy chicken wings.
"As Jimmy can attest, it gets very spicy, very quickly on the Tonight Show," said Evans.
The sauce choices begin at mild and end at a sauce that is more than 250 times hotter than a jalapeno.
During the interview, Evans asked Watt about a time he was a delivery driver during his time at the University of Wisconsin in which he ate a customer's food.
"I was a pizza delivery driver and it was a snowy day in Wisconsin. They closed school, they closed businesses, they closed everything. Pizza Hut was considering closing, I told them 'no, my parents have a truck,'" Watt said. "I came in, took an order out, spun out...wiped out a mailbox and ended up in a front yard. I call a tow truck, it spins out. I'm sitting in the car with nothing to do but two pizzas and hot wings. I ate the hot wings."
"A football player's got to eat," Evans said.
The group then moves on to the third, significantly spicier flavor. Ultimately, Watt is the only one who makes it to the last flavor.
Following the Hot Ones segment, Fallon and Watt struggled to get through the interview. As the two drank milk, ate bread and recovered from Hot Ones, Watt discussed his engagement to professional soccer player Kealia Ohai.
As for the wedding planning, Watt is only concerned with what food will be there.
"My guests are from Wisconsin, we're bigger people," Watt said. "I want a buffet."
Watt is slated to host Saturday Night Live on Feb. 1.
