In Milwaukee this weekend, it’s apparently too cold for ice.
Cafe Benelux in the Third Ward wrote on its Facebook page that they closed the popular ice bars Friday night as wind chills dropped to -25 degrees.
In an Instagram post, the restaurant said, ‘Winter is HERE. Ice bars will be closed tonight. Stay safe out there!”
No word on how long the ice bars will be closed. Extreme cold weather is expected to last through the weekend and much of next week.
