MILWAUKEE -- It's been a hectic spring for Hank the Ballpark Pup.

The Brewers brought home the once-stray dog from spring training two years ago. He's been adopted by the team's general counsel.

But earlier this year, a blogger posted a pair of photos of Hank that the writer hypothesized showed two different dogs.

Fans fretted.

"They probably have three or four different Hanks," one fan joked to TODAY'S TMJ4 back in March.

After all the speculation, the Brewers held a news conference last month to set the record straight.
Citing a notarized letter from a veterinarian, Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesigner said Hank the Ballpark Pup remains alive and well

"Hank the Ballpark Pup is still Hank the Ballpark Pup," he said last month. "He's no substitute."

Hank is not expected to be in attendance at Monday's home opener, but 20 percent of the proceeds from all Hank merchandise sold are given to the Humane Society.
