MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 9-year-old critically injured on Thursday night.

The non-fatal shooting occurred at around 11:19 p.m. on the 300 block of E. Burleigh Street.

The 9-year-old was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Milwaukee Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting and are asking for anyone with information to contact the Milwaukee Police at (414) 935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS or P3 Tips to remain anonymous.
