MILWAUKEE — Part of I-43/94 southbound is back open after an active investigation by police.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office closed the freeway at National Avenue to Lapham Boulevard from around 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
At this point, we don't know why part of the freeway was shutdown in the first place.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says a more detailed statement is "forthcoming" on what happened.
