It's being called a 1,000-year flood.

At least 11 people have died and over 40,000 homes are damaged or destroyed.  The American Red Cross is responding to the floods, including our local chapter.

They are designating their most resources since Super Storm Sandy.  Over 40 Red Cross volunteers from Wisconsin are heading to Louisiana.  Many people lost everything, and the Red Cross will be providing clean up supplies and basic needs care packages, along with stuffed animals for kids.

To make a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund, visit their website here, or call 1-800-Red-Cross.

Or you cant text the word LAFLOODS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
